Jay-Ar is 12 years old and is 5th grade. But now he desperately needs help to pay the school fees.
His dream is to become a sailor and to travel the world, like so many other men and women from the Philippines.
His mother left him many years ago, and has not been in touch since. Jay-Ar is growing up living with his grandparents who are poor farmers in the philippines. He is a good boy and helps his grandparents any way he can. He carries water and does other chores. Anything to lighten the burden for the old ones.
When he wants to relax, he goes over to their neighbour to watch tv, or watch the neighbours children play videogames.
That sort of luxury is not in his house.
